Yes, you can! IF! Your period of stay on your Residence Card is still valid AND you don't leave for more than a year. With the new system, your residence card IS your visa. So make sure you bring your residence card with you to the airport with you. Before you line up for immigration, fill out a Embarkation card for Reentrant form. There are SO many tables around the area for you to write your information in! With examples! When you go through immigration, if they don't ask you, tell them when you will return to Japan or not they might take your residence card. When you return to Japan, don't forget to show them your card again!
