■You can use the following phrases at reception:
・いらっしゃいませ(Welcome)
(Please wait)
(Please sit here and wait)
■Walk at a pace that is at least three steps ahead of you. When you arrive to the door, pull the handle to open it and say:
・どうぞ、こちらへ。(Please come this way)
(Please come in)
The person entering the room first, holds the door from the inside, and guides the customer into the room.
■If the customer has a coat in hand, if there is a coat rack in the room, say (Please use it). If there is a waiting time for the customers, you can offer them tea, etc. and say, (The person in charge will come, so please wait for a while). Let them know that the meeting will be held early. Please note that there is no need to start the meeting earlier just because the customer arrives early.

Seeing off
When a customer leaves, in Japan, we often see off customers until they are no longer in sight. In some cases, you may continue to bow during the farewell.
■Normally, it is the customer's role to finish up the matter. It is considered rude to say or do something that asks you to leave. However, there are times when the customer is not aware of the time, you can say それでは、A案で進めるということで、引き続きよろしくおねがいします。(Okay, we're going to proceed with plan A, so please continue to support us), which naturally signals the end of the conversation. When the other person stands up, you stand up too.

■After opening the door and letting the customer pass first, walk 2 to 3 steps in front of the customer to the place where you will see them off, such as the elevator or entrance. After you leave the room, basically don't talk about work. You can have a casual chat about the weather and other personal topics. The drop-off location varies depending on the company, so it is important to check the company's rules in advance. Generally, it is the elevator or at the entrance.
1) When seeing someone off in front of an elevator
The person in charge of seeing off the person should press “↑ (up)” or “↓(down)”. When the elevator arrives, press the button with your finger, say, (Please come in). When the customer enters the elevator and turns around, bow and say, (Thank you for today. Please excuse me). Continue bowing until the elevator door closes.

2) When seeing someone off at the entrance
Walk in front of the customer and guide them to the entrance. When you arrive at the entrance, say thank you for visiting and bow. The most polite way to say goodbye is to continue bowing and bowing until the customer is out of sight. In addition, if a customer takes a taxi to return home, continue bowing until the taxi is out of sight.
