Beware of Japanese scammers claiming to be immigration officers
Maryna
On March 13, a foreign office worker living in Kobe appealed to the police for help. The man explained that an unknown person who introduced himself as an immigration officer called him and said, "There is a problem with your immigration procedures." Following the instructions, the foreigner sent money several times for a total of ¥400,000. The police are now investigating this crime.
